Plant Mechanic

Greenbush Logistics is looking for an experienced Plant Mechanic to join our team. In this critical role, you’ll help keep our sawmill operations running efficiently and safely by performing maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations. What You’ll Do

As a Plant Mechanic, you'll be responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment. Your work directly impacts our productivity, safety, and the quality of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections, services, and adjustments on machinery and vehicles
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
  • Align, assemble, install, and move machinery using hoists, tools, and measuring instruments
  • Replace and repair parts such as sprockets, pumps, chains, belts, and cylinders
  • Perform basic welding and torch cutting
  • Splice and track conveyor belts of various sizes
  • Read and apply maintenance manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and accurate service records
  • Work independently or with a team to maximize uptime and ensure continuous production

Qualifications

  • Required: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in plant or industrial maintenance
  • Solid understanding of mechanical systems and maintenance procedures
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
  • Familiarity with sawmill equipment a plus
